The hinges on the boot would have a defect over time and it would start to look like a suicide trunk. You’d know because while driving they would whistle haha.

I don’t remember if it was this car or the first year of the ES300 that had a hydraulic cooling fan. It ran off p/s fluid I believe. What a pain in the nads those were. A lot of those had super cheap hoses that they literally become porous, leaking p/s fluid and causing the engine to overheat. Electric fans were not a new thing back then.
